Elanora is a peaceful suburb situated in the City of Gold Coast in QLD. As per the census of 2016, the suburb had a population of 12,145 people. Elanora is situated right between Currumbin Creek and Tallebudgera Creek and is about 13km from Coolangatta. History of Elanora

The suburb gets its name Elanora from the word ‘home by the sea’. Though we do not know much about the early settlers here, the post office of the region opened on 2nd May 1927. The first State School in the region opened several years later in January 1983. As per the 2006 census, the suburb had a population of 11,681, with the first library opening in the year 2007. The population of the suburb is slowly increasing.
