Find us online

Physio Mawson Lakes is (from our research) one of the most common searches our patient's use to find us, followed by Physiotherapist Mawson Lakes and interestingly, Physiotherapy Mawson Lakes. Patients often search us by suburb first, however, and as a result, some other typical searches include Mawson Lakes Physio, Mawson Lakes Physiotherapist and or Mawson Lakes Physiotherapy. Though not a direct variation to the two above, a broader approach is often taken with a search like; physio near me, or if a practice is more intended then physiotherapy near me is quite often the search. We have found that depending on the demographics the use of the word 'in' features quite heavily, and so we'll often see Physio in Mawson Lakes, Physiotherapist in Mawson Lakes and Physiotherapy in Mawson Lakes as common phrases. Mawson Lakes profile

Mawson Lakes is surrounded by suburbs of Green Fields, Parafield Gardens, Dry Creek, Para Hills West, Ingle Farm, Cavan, and Pooraka. The residential suburb located in Adelaide’s northern suburbs falls under the local government area of the City of Salisbury.

Situated 12 kilometres north of the CBD, Mawson Lakes’ central portion is called The Levels. It was previously a non-residential area, having Technology Park Adelaide and the University of South Australia campus. The 2006 Census recorded a population of 5,246 people in Mawson Lakes.

The central shopping precinct, located between Garden Terrace and Main Street, is the central commercial area of Mawson Lakes. It is lined with several smaller restaurants and shops, a hotel, and Woolworths.

History of Mawson Lakes

The suburb is named after Sir Douglas Mawson, an Australian geologist, academic, and Antarctic explorer. Mawson Lakes’ first technology park, Technology Park Adelaide, was established in 1982 by the South Australian government.

Facilities

Mawson Lakes is linked to the main Adelaide thoroughfares of Salisbury Highway, Main North Road, and Port Wakefield Road. One can reach Adelaide’s city centre in 30 minutes by car.

There are numerous bus routes connecting the Central business district to Mawson Lakes, along with Salisbury, Modbury, and Elizabeth.

The suburb offers a dual water supply system that provides recycled water (sourced from the Bolivar Sewage Treatment plant) and drinking water to homes through separate channels. This recycling system helps Mawson Lakes to use about 50% less potable water as compared to other suburbs.

SA Water also performs a comprehensive audit of the homes in the area, ensuring there is no cross-connection between drinking water and recycled water.
