Find us online

Physio Forest Lake is (from our research) one of the most common searches our patient's use to find us, followed by Physiotherapist Forest Lake and interestingly, Physiotherapy Forest Lake. Patients often search us by suburb first, however, and as a result, some other typical searches include Forest Lake Physio, Forest Lake Physiotherapist and or Forest Lake Physiotherapy. Though not a direct variation to the two above, a broader approach is often taken with a search like; physio near me, or if a practice is more intended then physiotherapy near me is quite often the search. We have found that depending on the demographics the use of the word 'in' features quite heavily, and so we'll often see Physio in Forest Lake, Physiotherapist in Forest Lake and Physiotherapy in Forest Lake as common phrases. In the end, we do our best to be as visible and accessible for our patients in and around our local area as possible.

History of Forest Lake

In the 1870s, Henry Farley built a two-storey homestead in the site of what is now known as Homestead Park. A decade after, the property and surrounding land were acquired by Michael “Stumpy” Durack, which became part of the “Archerfield Station”. It was, however, destroyed by fire in the 1930s.

During World War II, an area in Forest Lake became a command post, which was the largest ordnance depot in the Southwest Pacific Area.

It was in the 1970s when the property was purchased by Hancock Plywoods to harvest any timber that was of value. In 1986, the company decided to sell the property and partnered with a developer to transform the area into a self-contained suburb.

It was in 1990 when construction of the master-planned community began, and a year after Forest Lake was officially launched. Developments continued until 2006 after the last lot was sold in the suburb.
