My passion for sport and helping people was my most significant push. As a teenager, I was an athlete, and I wanted to stay within the sporting realm as I grew in experience as a Sports Physiotherapist. I was lucky enough to be given some incredible opportunities internationally, which has also helped define my craft.
The people I meet and the experience and knowledge I can give to physiotherapy students and patients keep me going. I love the fulfilment I receive when I see a patient walk out of the clinic happy and proud that they can return to sport, knowing that their injuries are a thing of the past.
I have 25 years of experience as a physiotherapist. I have worked as the high-performance manager and sports physiotherapist for some of Australias' top organisations including the Brisbane Roar, Brisbane Lions and Queensland reds. I have also had the opportunity to work internationally for high-level sporting organisations which transfers into private practice.
I love spending time with my family and friends. If I can get a chance to go out surfing or keeping active, this is my happy place. I try to train 3-4x per week in the gym and run as often as possible.
Enoggera is a fantastic family and community-based suburb. The people who come through the doors at Resistance Sports Science are incredible to work with.
It's that good I drive down from Noosa 2x per week!

Searching; physio near me, physio Enoggera or physiotherapy in Enoggera?
Our team of physio's service patients from all over Brisbane, though most come from nearby suburbs such as Alderley, Gaythorne and Everton Park.
Whether you need help with an existing injury, rehabilitation, soft tissue therapy or joint manipulations, we consider ourselves the best physios and physiotherapy clinic in Enoggera.
Physio Enoggera is (from our research) one of the most common searches our patient's use to find us, followed by Physiotherapist Enoggera and interestingly, Physiotherapy Enoggera. Patients often search us by suburb first, however, and as a result, some other typical searches include Enoggera Physio, Enoggera Physiotherapist and or Enoggera Physiotherapy. Though not a direct variation to the two above, a broader approach is often taken with a search like; physio near me, or if a practice is more intended then physiotherapy near me is quite often the search. We have found that depending on the demographics the use of the word 'in' features quite heavily, and so we'll often see Physio in Enoggera, Physiotherapist in Enoggera and Physiotherapy in Enoggera as common phrases. In the end, we do our best to be as visible and accessible for our patients in and around our local area as possible.
Physiotherapy is a health field to help people regain their physical fitness, physical function, and general well-being.
Physiotherapy is entirely different from medical science. Physiotherapy's primary concern is centred on improving the health of individuals with mobility issues, suffering from pain or stiffness.
Physiotherapists are well knowledgeable on the function of the human body, human anatomy, and the biology of the human body.
It takes four years of university training to become a physiotherapist. Some physiotherapists will receive a Bachelors degree, whilst others will complete a Masters of Physiotherapy.
They offer expert clinical skills to assess the underlying health condition, mobility issues before suggesting a treatment plan.
There are various treatment plans used by physiotherapists, but the most useful include:
A physiotherapist will perform an initial assessment when you first see them. This is to investigate the underlying condition to proffer an accurate treatment plan as it relates to the problem.
While physiotherapists are independent of medical doctors and you don't need a doctor's recommendation to visit one in Australia, they sometimes need to work hand in hand with them or related health practitioners for a complicated condition.
Physiotherapists train to improve your mobility, physical fitness, and improve your well-being after an illness or injury. Physiotherapists are here for us to help us get on our feet quickly and resume doing those things we love to do without injury or illness.
