Q&A with Brian Tran

What made you decide to become a physiotherapist?

I gained my qualifications as a chiropractor first, and found quickly there was more to healthcare than just cracking backs and necks. Getting people better, and keeping them better inspired me to pursue further study as a physiotherapist, which gave me a wider set of tools to motivate people to maintaining their health, rather than just getting them out of pain.

What do you love most about your job?

The scale of impact I can provide as one person is quite limited. In my currently role leading our young vibrant team of health professionals, we are able to delivery high quality healthcare on a much greater scale, which takes into account a person's whole health, rather than just their MSK (as a physio/chiro).

Why should a new patient decide to choose you?

I am a dual qualified physiotherapist and chiropractor, currently undertaking the titling process with a goal of attaining specialist physiotherapist status. I have the unique ability to lean on the other health care professionals I work with for a multidisciplinary approach to managing people's health. I am kind, caring, and can help identify people's goals to tailor a healthcare approach just for them.

What do you enjoy doing when you're not working?

I enjoy going for runs, reading, attempting and failing at home DIY projects as well as gardening, producing music and playing in a band (guitar/keys).

What do you enjoy about Dural and the community?

The Dural community is a close knit group of locals who are warm, friendly, and have a high appreciation for education and quality healthcare.

Q&A with Doris Duqing Qu

What made you decide to become a physiotherapist?

I always love to help people, and I consider myself to be an active person. So combine the two I think becoming a physiotherapist is the best job for me.

What do you love most about your job?

The most I love about my job is to see people improve. From unable to walk/stand/play sports and constantly in pain to returning to whatever they love to do gives me the greatest satisfaction with my job.

Why should a new patient decide to choose you?

I am out going and friendly, I would love to have a good chat with my patients, so I can get a full picture of why they are here to see me and able to help them better.

I have over 10 years experience in physiotherapy, particularly in private practise and have particular interest in Women's health.

What do you enjoy doing when you're not working?

I love the outdoors, so in my spare time I love to do day trips and look for good hiking trials, it's even better if it's dog friendly, so I can spend some quality time with by puppy. Or I don't mind finding a quiet beach to enjoy some sun and sand.

What do you enjoy about Dural and the community?

I like Dural because it is a small, close-knit community. People here are very friendly and mostly with active lifestyles.

Find us online

Physio Dural is (from our research) one of the most common searches our patient's use to find us, followed by Physiotherapist Dural and interestingly, Physiotherapy Dural. Patients often search us by suburb first, however, and as a result, some other typical searches include Dural Physio, Dural Physiotherapist and or Dural Physiotherapy. Though not a direct variation to the two above, a broader approach is often taken with a search like; physio near me, or if a practice is more intended then physiotherapy near me is quite often the search. We have found that depending on the demographics the use of the word 'in' features quite heavily, and so we'll often see Physio in Dural, Physiotherapist in Dural and Physiotherapy in Dural as common phrases. In the end, we do our best to be as visible and accessible for our patients in and around our local area as possible.
