Whether you need help with an existing injury, rehabilitation, soft tissue therapy or joint manipulations, we consider ourselves the best physios and physiotherapy clinic in Concord.
Physio Concord is (from our research) one of the most common searches our patient's use to find us, followed by Physiotherapist Concord and interestingly, Physiotherapy Concord. Patients often search us by suburb first, however, and as a result, some other typical searches include Concord Physio, Concord Physiotherapist and or Concord Physiotherapy. Though not a direct variation to the two above, a broader approach is often taken with a search like; physio near me, or if a practice is more intended then physiotherapy near me is quite often the search. We have found that depending on the demographics the use of the word 'in' features quite heavily, and so we'll often see Physio in Concord, Physiotherapist in Concord and Physiotherapy in Concord as common phrases. In the end, we do our best to be as visible and accessible for our patients in and around our local area as possible.

The suburb was named after Concord, Massachusetts in the US, which is the site of the Battle of Concord. It is believed that the Sydney town was named Concord to encourage a harmonious attitude between soldiers and settlers.
It was in 1793 when the first land grants in the area took place. One of the suburb’s first residents was Isaac Nichols, an Englishman who was granted a 20-hectare land in Concord after his sentence for stealing expired. Nichols established a farm in the suburb and later an orchard to raise cattle after he was granted 20 more hectares of land. The land is now known as Yaralla Estate.
The suburb also has a rich history in golf with the first game being played by the members of the Sydney Golf Club at the Yaralla Estate in 1893. In 1898, locals decided to form their golf club and continued to play in the estate and other areas in the Inner West.
The original Concord Council was established in 1883, which amalgamated with the Drummoyne Council to form the City of Canada Bay in 2000.
Concord is also known as a “Parkland Suburb” as it has plenty of parks, recreational areas and golf courses, such as the historic Concord Gold Course. Parks in Concord include Bayview Park, Majors Bay Reserve and Queen Elizabeth Park.
The main shopping area in the suburb is the Majors Bay Road shopping village, located in the heart of Concord. It features alfresco cafes, restaurants, retail and speciality stores. A Coles supermarket, medical centre and the Concord Post Office are also located in this area.
The majority of residents in Concord are families with children, and there are several schools in Concord, which include Concord Public School, Concord High School, St. Mary’s Primary School and Mortlake Public School.
To commute in and around the suburb, Concord is serviced by bus services, Sydney Ferries at Cabarita Wharf, and trains at the nearby Concord West and North Strathfield railway stations.
Concord Golf Club
The Concord Gold Club was established in 1899 and is a massive part of the suburb’s rich history with the sport. This golf course is home to significant championship tournaments such as the Australia PGA, ANZ Championship, NSW Open and the Australian Women’s Open.
Bayview Park
While there are plenty of parklands and open areas in Concord, Bayview Park is one of the popular ones. It is located by the Paramatta River and has a ferry wharf and a sandy beach. There is a shaded play area as well as facilities for BBQ and picnics. A swimming spot is expected to open in the park by 2025.
