Q&A with Chris Seville

What made you decide to become a physiotherapist?

I became a physiotherapist to help others to become the healthiest and strongest that they can be. It provides me great satisfaction to see others enjoy all that life has to offer without limitation.

What do you love most about your job?

The two things I love most about working as a physiotherapist are; the feeling when I help a patient to overcome a challenge that they thought that they would not overcome and helping someone to achieve their peak strength and health as part of their recovery.

Why should a new patient decide to choose you?

I'm a passionate hard-working physiotherapist that has worked the musculoskeletal and elite sporting for over a decade.

This experience helps me to make an accurate diagnosis for a thorough physical assessment and allows me to help my patients efficiently recover from their injuries.

What do you enjoy doing when you're not working?

I have two young children that I love chasing around at the local pool and park. I have competed as powerlifter at a national and International level and still enjoy regular strength training and golf.

What do you enjoy about Cheltenham and the community?

There is a real mix of people young and old that present from Cheltenham and surrounding suburbs to our clinic.

Q&A with Jillian Campbell

What made you decide to become a physiotherapist?

Helping people overcome their physical challenges and working in healthcare was attractive to me. A family friend with a chronic health condition had enjoyed the benefits of the profession and recommended it. Having a specific skill base to offer clients and professional recognition was also a draw card.

What do you love most about your job?

Inspiring people to be healthier through exercise and wise self-management. Helping people achieve their lifestyle goals is very satisfying. Helping people see that age isn't a problem but weakness is. I'm glad my job is active and not sedentary.

Why should a new patient decide to choose you?

I specialise in active solutions to problems, with a main focus on rehab exercises and empowering education re self management. My prefered work is with clients with back problems, post natal recovery and the older client with ongoing physical issues such as arthritis and scoliosis who want to keep playing golf or hiking or living well. Most of my work is group based which adds a degree of emotional support to physical recovery. I am certified in the Gla;d osteoarthritis program and have completed all levels of DMA pilates training.

What do you enjoy doing when you're not working?

I enjoy recreational running and have completed over 100 Parkruns. One of the highlights of my year is a family hike at Wilson's Promontory. I also enjoy spending time with family and supporting my children in their various sporting endeavours.

What do you enjoy about Cheltenham and the community?

Cheltenham is a great place to work with lovely beaches, extensive retail and easy city accessibility.

What made you decide to become a physiotherapist?

My love and passion for helping people get back on their feet and make a real difference to the quality of life. It also helps that I'm active and have had a long love for sport and exercise which I use to empower my patients.

What do you love most about your job?

Working in a strong, friendly team environment and having the flexibility to keep moving throughout the day. I enjoy the challenges of working with different people and problem solving to create better outcomes.

Why should a new patient decide to choose you?

I treat every patient like they are the most important, no less than the patient before and after. I'm an effective communicator and will work tirelessly in the clinic and behind the scenes to get the desired result for the patient.

What do you enjoy doing when you're not working?

I have 2 beautiful kids. I enjoy spending time with them and watching them participate in activities and sport on the weekends. I like keeping active in the gym and running when I get the time. Spending time with friends and eating great food.

The Bayside community has a friendly vibe. Cheltenham forms a fantastic part of this with a mix of culture, youth and young families.

Find us online

Physio Cheltenham is (from our research) one of the most common searches our patient's use to find us, followed by Physiotherapist Cheltenham and interestingly, Physiotherapy Cheltenham. Patients often search us by suburb first, however, and as a result, some other typical searches include Cheltenham Physio, Cheltenham Physiotherapist and or Cheltenham Physiotherapy. Though not a direct variation to the two above, a broader approach is often taken with a search like; physio near me, or if a practice is more intended then physiotherapy near me is quite often the search. We have found that depending on the demographics the use of the word 'in' features quite heavily, and so we'll often see Physio in Cheltenham, Physiotherapist in Cheltenham and Physiotherapy in Cheltenham as common phrases. In the end, we do our best to be as visible and accessible for our patients in and around our local area as possible.
