Find us online

Physio Berwick is (from our research) one of the most common searches our patient's use to find us, followed by Physiotherapist Berwick and interestingly, Physiotherapy Berwick. Patients often search us by suburb first, however, and as a result, some other typical searches include Berwick Physio, Berwick Physiotherapist and or Berwick Physiotherapy. Though not a direct variation to the two above, a broader approach is often taken with a search like; physio near me, or if a practice is more intended then physiotherapy near me is quite often the search. We have found that depending on the demographics the use of the word 'in' features quite heavily, and so we'll often see Physio in Berwick, Physiotherapist in Berwick and Physiotherapy in Berwick as common phrases. In the end, we do our best to be as visible and accessible for our patients in and around our local area as possible.

Subdivision in Berwick began in 1854. Establishments such as a store, hotel (The Berwick Inn), post office and other businesses were also established during this time.

Berwick had a thriving agricultural industry in the mid-1800s. Wheat, potatoes and barley were grown here, and a flour mill operated in Berwick for several years. Dairy farming and cheese making also became huge in the suburb.

In 1859, a quarry opened in Berwick to supply ballast for a railway line being established between Melbourne and the Gippsland region. And from around that time up to 1902, the town was the headquarters of the Shire of Berwick.

As Melbourne progressed and sprawled eastward in the late 20th century, surrounding rural areas, including Berwick, was subdivided and developed into areas for first-time homebuyers.
